15 Minutes of Exercise a Week Is Linked to a Longer Life
Fitting exercise into a hectic schedule is difficult.
New study reveals that 15 minutes of physical exercise a week, as long as it gets your heart pounding, lowers the chance of early death.
The researchers focused on the first week of the trial when everyone wore an activity tracker on their wrist.
The study's primary author, Matthew Ahmadi, a research fellow at the University of Sydney in Australia, says the "sweet spot" for benefiting was 60 minutes a week.
He says strenuous physical activity depends on your fitness level, but having trouble talking is a positive indicator.
As expected, intensive physical exercise increased lifespan.
