2 policemen slain in AR-15 ambush following false 911 call.

A shooter reportedly attacked two police officers and wounded a third in Bristol, Connecticut.

State police say the Bristol officers were shot while responding to a 911 call about alleged domestic violence involving siblings.

Police said the shooter ambushed policemen with an AR-15-style weapon.
State police believe the 911 call was made to lure officers.
Nicholas Brutcher was shot and killed, authorities said.

According to authorities, the suspect's brother was also shot and hospitalised.
Bristol's police chief remarked, "Our community has been shaken."

Dustin DeMonte, 35, and Alex Hamzy, 34, were killed, Gould said.
DeMonte is survived by his wife and two children, with a third on the way.

The chief said DeMonte was a patrol officer and school resource officer. "He advised Bristol's explorer cadets. He's won the Silver Star, Officer of the Month, and Officer of the Year in 2019."
