Bruce Bochy, a former manager of the San Francisco Giants, is joining the MLB once more. It was formally revealed on Friday that he would take over as manager of the Texas Rangers.
Three-time World Series champion Bochy served as the Giants' manager from 2007 to 2019. Over that time, he amassed 1,052 victories.
Bochy has served as the Giants' special advisor for the last three seasons. He took the Rangers' position because he believes the AL West is developing a contender.
Bochy declared, "I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Texas Rangers. "I've had lengthy discussions over the past few days with Chris Young and other members of the group,
and I got the opportunity to meet Ray Davis. I was persuaded I wanted to be a part of their outstanding vision and dedication to building a team that can compete and win year after year.
"The perfect circumstances have to exist for me to return to management. I have no doubt that is the case with the Rangers, and I am eager to begin.
