NBC's future golf coverage may disappoint fans.
According to Golf Channel executive producer Molly Solomon, Rodger Maltbie and Gary Koch are out.
“Roger and Gary have been associated with NBC Sports' golf coverage for decades, having educated and amused numerous generations of fans and having made some of
the most memorable calls in the game,” she added.
The charismatic announcers will be missed.
"Roger Maltbie's storytelling is unmatched. He's among Uncle Verne's elite. Continually reported on-course. Gary Koch, who was better than most, never needed to be the headliner.
"Shame. Loved these chaps. Great broadcasters, "another fan.
"Gary and Roger departing NBC golf broadcasts saddens me.
I became a golf fan 15 years ago thanks to both them. Miss you!" another admirer.
Maltbie and Koch on TV was great.
