The Colts are switching quarterbacks.
Sam Ehlinger will replace veteran quarterback Matt Ryan on the Colts' bench, according to a report from Indianapolis' Mike Chappell.
"According to a source, the Colts benched Matt Ryan in favor of Sam Ehlinger. Sam starts his first game ever on Sunday against Washington. No. 2 will be Nick Foles "According to Chappell.
Ryan, who switched teams from the Falcons to the Colts, hasn't appeared to be himself thus far this year.
According to reports, Ryan's shoulder ailment is the cause of his benching.
On Sunday, the Colts will play Washington, the team of former quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz, regrettably, has a wound as well.
