Ohio State football’s reason for Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s limited snaps in Iowa game, revealed

The Buckeyes defeated Iowa 54-10 last weekend with minimal snaps from Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day planned to limit Smith-Njigba to 20 snaps each game. Day said that the great receiver was unharmed throughout the game.

The Buckeyes' easy victory limited his playing time.

Ryan Day subsequently confirmed that Jaxon Smith-Njigba would play this week versus Penn State in a thrilling game.

As 7-0 Ohio State faces 6-1 Penn State, the receiver may be used more.

With Buckeyes quarterback CJ Stroud, a likely first-round draught choice, his performance will rise.
