The Michigan State Police said that a suspect has been apprehended after a fatal gunshot and hours of discussions at a Hampton Inn in Dearborn, Michigan.

According to Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin, a 55-year-old Riverview employee "simply trying to do his job" was the lone casualty on Thursday night.
Police in Dearborn said they had been in touch with the suspect's family in an effort to secure a compliant surrender.
The cops said the incident started because of a disagreement about payment. According to authorities, customers and staff were evacuated from the hotel.
