For the time being, Baker Mayfield will continue to start as quarterback for the Carolina Panthers.
Mayfield, who was acquired by the Panthers in a deal with Cleveland, will continue to serve as the team's starting quarterback, according to Panthers head coach Matt Rhule on Monday afternoon.
Mayfield and the Panthers have suffered a defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. In the second half, the home crowd booed him and the Panthers offense.
Rhule, though, has decided to continue with Mayfield, in part because to Sam Darnold's injury.
"I believe Baker is our quarterback," Rhule continued. We must keep looking for methods to assist him.NFL supporters weren't overly shocked by the decision on Monday.
Nothing exudes assurance like "I THINK he's our quarterback," a supporter further observed.
