Red Sox Offer Fireballer Multi-Year Contract

Apparently, the Red Sox have given a well-known pitcher a multi-year contract to get their offseason underway.

It's possible that the Boston Red Sox won't need to make as many changes to their starting lineup as first feared.

There were numerous unknowns going into the summer for Boston about the 2023 starting lineup. Chris Sale, with Nick Pivetta and Brayan Bello, all have active contracts.

It seems like Garrett Whitlock may have secured a position and Tanner Houck is in the running for the starting job

The Red Sox's surprising qualifying offer to the ace pitcher would keep him in Boston until 2023. If he agrees, he'll get $19.65 million to play in Boston in 2023.

In spite of Bradford's reassurances that an agreement is on the horizon, reports indicate that both parties are eager to reach a compromise.
