Toys R Us announces October in-store specials celebrating grand reopening

The legendary toy retailer went bankrupt and lost all its locations in 2018, but early this year announced a partnership with Macy's.

Starting in mid-October, Toys R Us will operate at every Macy's shop nationwide for nine days.

Toys R Us is reopening flagship locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.

The flagship shops will be up to 10,000 square feet, with prospective seasonal additions.

The shops will include hands-on toy demonstration tables and a life-sized Geoffrey The Giraffe.

Toys R Us says it's returning to retail this month so kids can buy in person again.
